Walk and Talk

Our Walk & Talks are a chance to meet other local pregnant women and parents, enjoy the wellbeing benefits of being outdoors, and get some gentle exercise. It’s really relaxed, welcoming and ran by myself.

The walk lasts for about 45 minutes. There is a café to grab a hot drink at the start or the end of the walk and there are toilets and nappy changing too. If you need to stop to feed your baby it’s not a problem, there are benches around the park and we’ll wait.

The walk is run twice a month, we meet by the entrance to the café with the big green gates at 1.30pm we will wait until 1.45 to ensure everyone time to arrive.

Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring any water and snacks you and your baby might need. We start and end by the cafe, so you can purchase a drink or food, but are also welcome to bring your own food and drink if you would prefer too.

Once the walk is finished we will head over into the park to sit on the picnic benches or mats if its busy.

A nice gentle stroll suitable for pregnant women and parents.

My home educated daughters will join us on the walks and can help with pushing your pushchairs if you need to carry your baby, they can also chat with you and help out where needed.

We walk at a pace to suit everyone on the walk, toddlers welcome too.

Social and a cuppa after the walk

Once the walk is completed there will be time, if you want to stay to grab a drink and food from the café, or bring your own snacks and drinks you are welcome to stay, we tend to stay until about 3.15pm. If you would rather leave after the walk that is completely fine too.

Nature, connection and exercise

It is well known that being out in nature and exercise is fabulous for your wellbeing and mental health. Walking can help reduce anxiety and stress, improve your mood making you happier,  increases your self esteem and reduces loneliness.

Meeting other mums to be and parents can also help with reducing loneliness, by meeting other mums to be and parents in your area.

How to book

To book your FREE space for the walk, please complete a booking form on the 'our services' page. On the day you will be asked for photo consent before we start the walk, we do try to avoid getting children's faces in the photos.
